We went to a St Patrick's Day party a day late (yesterday, the day after St. Patrick's Day).  Our friend Jill really does it up well.  I took pictures of all the shamrocks.  There are Shamrocks on everything!  Inlcuding the toilet paper in the powder room.  Enjoy the pictures.

At Purim we play a noisemaker known as a grogger every time we hear the name of the villain Haman in the book of Esther. The children dress up as characters from the Purim story. Emily is dressed up as a Queen, Queen Esther to be specific.  Here is a grogger video and the pictures

 

Here are pictures of our most recent trip to the Zoo. Everytime we go Emily seems to appreciate even more.

 

We just returned from a week at the beach condo of my law firm's senior partner.  It was so nice to be away, and a perfect setting for a young family.  We got up in the morning and we cooked breakfast (much easier than going out to breakfast with an infant and a soon-to-be-3-year old).  Then we would walk to the beach, build sand castles, fly kites and wade into the ocean.  Sometimes we had a picnic lunch on the beach, sometimes we came 'home' to the condo for lunch.  Afternoon was pool time, where Emily quickly got back into mid-summer form jumping into the pool, and even swimming without holding on (although she preferred the support of her Nemo noodle.)
